Life Through The Eyes Of A Child
Life packed away in boxes,
Mommy and daddy always fighting.
The cars passing with their happiness,
The tears escaping my eyes.
"Mommy, where are we going?"
No reply.
"Daddy, why are you leaving?"
No reply.
Life packed away in those boxes,
House vacant,
Mommy crying,
Daddy yelling.
Hatred fills the air,
My life seems over.
I pat the box in the back with me,
My pictures of a happier time.
My tears escape.
Mommy and daddy always fighting.
The cars passing with their happiness,
The tears escaping my eyes.
"Mommy, where are we going?"
No reply.
"Daddy, why are you leaving?"
No reply.
Life packed away in those boxes,
House vacant,
Mommy crying,
Daddy yelling.
Hatred fills the air,
My life seems over.
I pat the box in the back with me,
My pictures of a happier time.
My tears escape.
