Brokenness

Taunting,
teasing.
Dreaming,
believing.
Shattered,
broken.
Scarred,
and open.
Nothing is ever what it seems,
nothing ever seems to last long.
Broken promises and empty lies,
everything seems so wrong.
Double think of what you tell me,
there's nothing left for me to give.
Everyday I sit here waiting,
without you I just can't live.
That night was a bullet through my heart,
I'm sick and tired and I've had enough.
I wish I just had someone to rely on,
through the pain I'm still not tough.
Every little chance of hope,
every little piece of happiness.
It was just a waist of time,
I'm left here in this brokenness.
So judge me not on how I feel,
don't waist your misunderstanding.
It never seems to go away,
each day gets more and more saddening.
So here I am writing this stupid rhyme,
I know that no one seems to care.
I don't see how I can't give up,
so stop me-- won't you dare?
