Azalia sighed and leaned up against the wall next to Mark.

Davis followed her willingly.

Mark looked at her and frowned.

M:"Are you okay Azalia?"

Mira drug him to a valley between two mountains filled with snapdragons and a small creek running through it.

M:"This is my favorite place just watch."

The setting sun colored the horizon in a goldish pinkish color. Once set the valley was decorated with fireflies. She then turned to him and smiled.

M:"What do you think?"

Azalia nodded. "Yeah, just tired." She ran a hand through her hair and sighed.

Davis smiled and caught a firefly in his cupped hands. He showed her quickly before letting it fly away. "This place is beautiful."

Mark nodded.

M:"What to go home and get some rest?"

Mira smiled and looked over the peaceful place.

M:"I love it here. This is where I come to think or calm down or just for some peace and quit."

Azalia nodded to him. "Okay, just give me a second to say goodbye." She waved over to ANgela who waved back while kneading dough. Then she picked up both of ANgela's grandchildren in a bear hug. "Bye guys," she whispered, kissing each of their cheeks.

Davis wrapped his arms around her and smiled. "I wish we could stay her forever," he whispered into her ear.

Mark watched with a small smile on his face.

Mira leaned into him and sighed.

M:"So do I. You have no idea how tempted I was to do just that when I was younger and first found this place. I would stay here and hide from everyone until my sense of duty took over and I would leave and do my job."

Azalia put the two children back down on the ground and turned around to see Mark smiling. "Okay, let's get you home so you can rest your wound." She took his hand and smiled.

Davis nodded. "Oh." He kissed her cheek softly. "I have an old secret passageway like that. I used to hide in it all the time as a kid, but I haven't in years..."

Mark followed her home. Stopping every once in awhile to rest so as not to reopen his wounds.

Mira smiled up at him.

"That is kinda ironic this is my first time here in 10 years."

Azalia opened the door to her house for him. Once they were inside, she had him sit down on one of her old sofas. "Okay, now stay here and rest. I'll go make dinner."

Davis looked down at her and raised an eyebrow. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old are you?"

Mark smiled in relief and gratitude and sat down resting before eventually dozing off.

Mira thought for a moment.

M:"Well which one are you talking about? Soul and mind wise or this body wise?"

Azalia cooked up a steak and served two plates. She sighed, seeing him asleep. She set down his food on the coffee table and ate in a chair next to him.

Davis sighed. "Ummm, both."

Mark dozed and smiled in his sleep.

Mira sighed.

M:"Body wise I am about 17 or 18 but my mind/soul is around a hundred due to the fact I am born over and over again to help the people with the yokai."

Azalia put away her dish and stuck his food in the fridge. She scrawled out a note for Mark and left it on the coffee table. Your dinner is in the fridge. I'm sleeping upstairs, just yell if you need any help. She walked upstairs to her room and lied down on the bed.

Davis nodded. "Oh, okay." He smiled slightly.

Mark dozed for a few hours until he moved and woke up with a wince as he had almost reopened a wound on his side. He looked around and noticed it was dark out. He got up and went to the kitchen and opened the fridge after reading her note. He heated it up and ate it smiling at the taste. He then washed his dish and went and got a blanket and fell back asleep on the couch in a more comfortable position.

Mira smiled at him.

M:"So how old are you?"

Azalia woke up the next morning, exhausted. She had woken up six times in the middle of the night because of nightmares. She tiptoed downstairs to find Mark asleep and sat down in the chair next to the sofa he was sleeping on.

Mark mumbled in his sleep and winced before relaxing again.

Azalia curled her legs up onto the chair and watched Mark. Her hand reached over and stroked his head.

Davis chuckled. "I'm nineteen at the moment."

Mark smiled softly in his sleep and relaxed even more.

Mira smiled at him and kissed his cheek.

Azalia twirled her fingers in his hair, bored. She sighed.

Davis rested his head on top of hers. "Hmm, so I think we should go back to the castle tomorrow..."

Mark opened one eye and looked at her.

M:"Bored?"

Mira sighed and nodded.

M:"I guess we do after all they will be worried about you."

Azalia smiled slightly. "Just a bit," she whispered back. "Sorry if I woke you."

Davis shrugged. "Yeah, I mean, I hope they've realized I'm missing, or at least would realize within a week."
