A Blue Rose

I hold a midnight blue rose
As i think of all my woes
I think about you
and all you thought you knew
and how none of it was true
You thought you knew the real me
You thought your love would set me free
But your love didn't exactly the reverse
It gave me a terrible curse
You added problems to plate
You made all my love turn to hate
Now I stand alone
My future is unknown
Yet something that is sad and true
Is the fact that i still love you
So I know match the rose I hold
I represent death, emotionally, but yet all see me as bold
