Brock darted back, picked up his sister and then hurried back. Him being a demon and all gave him pretty good speed, a lot better than vampires, but no one ever talked about demons the way they did about vampire ever since Twilight. He smiled to the two girls. "Thank you," he said in respect.

Kat closed her eyes and winced in pain, feeling the icy air cut at her face.

"Oh, okay," he said, then all was silent. There didn't seem to be much to talk about. One girl couldn't speak, Kat was passed out in his arms, and he didn't really know how to strike up a conversation with this human.

Brock looked to the building and bit his lip. Was this really the one change he had to save his siter? Was it really that easy to save her? Was it as easy as just walking into this building? As easy as randomly meeting this girl?
