So troublesome

Toris puts a hand over his heart, "I swear, I'll return it to you as soon as we've reached Gilbird." He waits for a response, watches Gilbert's expression closely.

Gilbert looks him over, face showing that he's not sure whether or not he's willing to trust Toris, but he knows where Gilbird is, and that eventually wins him over.
"...Fine." He says finally, unstrapping his sword from his waist, "But you better not be lying, pagan."

After he's taken the sword and strapped it to his left side-- his sword is on his right-- he looks back to scowl at Prussia, "I don't know why you insist on using that to defame me. Being a pagan is an honor, not a curse." Before Gilbert can properly respond, he starts through the forest, expecting the other nation to follow.

He follows after him, not about to let him get away with both his sword and Gilbird's location.
"You say that because you're an unawesome pagan." He pokes him, "But if you convert, you can be an an awesome Christian."

"It isn't good to mock other people's faiths, Prusija." Toris's own faith dictates strictly against that, after all.

"Maybe you should think twice before insulting someone who has your blade, though." It's an afterthought, thoughg Toris would very much like to bring Prussia to his knees.

"Code of chivalry!" He states simply in his defense, "You can't break it if you're a knight!"
He completely ignores the jibe about religion.

"Just like you aren't allowed to kill people, because you're a Catholic?" He pauses a step to look back at Prussia, tilts his head to the side as if curious.

"Because that seems as if it's been easy for you to break."

[PreussensGloria]

"Nothing wrong with killing pagans." he responds without hesitation, "It'd be easier if you'd just convert, you know." He looks at him and smiles a bit, because he really does believe in all this.

In Toris's ears the words sound much crueler than coming out of Prussia's mouth, and he turns sharply, drawing his own sword, the tip of it almost immediately in front of Prussia's nose.

"People are people! And if you don't take back those words this instant, I won't bring you anywhere near your bird!"

His eyes lock on the tip of the blade and for once, in front of Toris at least, he looks extremely vulnerable.
"S-Sorry?" He apologizes, vaguely wondering what he did. It's not entirely his fault, after all. He's been raised believing what he's been taught by his Grand Masters.

"Apologize properly. You didn't sound sure of it at all." Toris's tone is unyielding-- it's as if he's in battle-- and he stares levelly at Gilbert, the sword not lowered.

[PreussensGloria]

"Sorry?" He still doesn't quite understand what's going on or what he did wrong but the sword pointed at his nose is rather convincing.

He holds the edge of the sword to Prussia's cheek, the pressure is enough to have a thin line of blood appear. "There should be no confusion here, Prusija." Toris is referring to his tone, as Gilbert still sounds unsure and that does not make for a convincing apology.

He closes the eye above the sword and backs away.
"Hey! Okay, okay, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to talk about your people like that." He still doesn't really get it but if it gets Toris to stop...
His hand flies to his injured cheek, "Ow..." It heals up relatively quickly however.

Toris lowers the sword and sheathes it again, watching him, "I would have thought you smarter than that kind of attitude towards someone who is helping you." Without further discussion, he turns back around to continue through the forest.

He stands there in confusion for a moment before rushing after Toris, following him silently before he says something else that accidentally pisses him off.

Toris hears the footsteps and picks up his pace when he's sure Prussia is following, carefully retracing his steps through the forest.

Gilbert's thoughts wander back to Gilbird, and he really hopes the little bird is alright. It's not like him to get lost. Gilbert's used to him disappearing for a few hours maybe, but its been a few days and he hasn't come back. What if he's hurt? What if something had happened to him? ...But Gilbird's awesome, so of course he's okay, right?

Toris of course doesn't notice the worry, but he stops suddenly, hearing a familiar chirp.

"That sounds just like it was, earlier." The 'piyo' is hard to miss.

'piyo~'
The sound jolts Prussia out of his thoughts and he rushed forward past Lithuania towards the sound. Lo and behold, there is Gilbird.
"Gilbird!" Prussia cries happily.

Gilbird, however, appears to be caught between the branches of a tree, and as Toris catches up with Prussia he looks up to find the source of all this.

"...You're going to have to get him down, then."

Gilbert doesn't hesitate in running up to the tree and starting to scale it despite the scratched knee it's definitely going to earn him. He gets up a few branches when Gilbird sees him and flies to him.
'Piyo~!'
"Huh?" Gilbert says gripping the trunk in his continued climb as his loyal bird lands on his head, "You weren't stuck?"

Toris decided to stay on the ground with his heavy platemail and two swords, but raises an eyebrow when he hears Prussia.

"...Are you talking to the bird?" This is madness.

[PreussensGloria]

"Huh?" For a moment, Gilbert doesn't realize Toris is talking to him, "Oh, yeah. Why?" He arranges it so he's sitting on one of the thicker branches and reaches up to grab Gilbird gently off his head, petting his fluffy head. "Why didn't you come home if you weren't stuck, Gilbird?"
For a moment, Gilbert feels extremely betrayed and sad that his fluffy companion abandoned him but Gilbird chirps and ruffles his feathers.
From where he had been before, another yellow bird emerges, this one much much smaller.

Toris can't quite see what's going on but tries to peer up at the tree.

"Prussia, what happened to him?" Alright, so maybe he's gotten curious.
