paper boats (or some poems i wrote)

last night i was really inspired to right some crappy poems after reading Dan Soupy Campbell's book of poetry (the title). so hey, what do you know? i did. both unnamed. they're both shitty but i felt better after writing them. i guess that's all that matters.

funny how one simple sentence,
one move of the mouth,
can fill you with so much joy,
even if just for a moment.

funny how that same sentence,
that same rush of pleasure,
can leave you broken and tattered;
blown away with the wind.

funny how all those empty promises
take so long to catch up with you,
but you give up,
because eventually they do,
because eventually your body
just can't take any more goddamn wreckage
from a stupid boy.

your eyes scan across the crowded room,
but their movements are defeaning.
your attention is stuck on what you're avoiding.
spot the happiness glistening in their eyes,
as they speak to one another.
crooked smiles bright as ever.
your hear the words they mumble;
the glorious sweet nothings.
you can feel the love in the air.
and you've never felt more alone
in a public place,
and you've never felt
such a greater want to be dead.

They are both really good! And they don't have to have titles. I've written many with out titles. My favorite is the first one, I think why is because I can related to it, and I can relate to it right now.

I love you too! & thank you, I'll hopefully be posting more soon. This club that I'm in at school is in this kind of poetry kick and we had a poetry slam today that I had to miss because I was sick, so I just posted here instead lol!
and fun fact: the first poem was kind of about what i posted in ooc earlier today.

Haha, it's fine. I know what you mean about the homework thing. I've got sooooo many essays and projects due. It's like all my teachers decided that instead of giving us an easy few weeks they'll just swamp us with homework .-.

Okay :D It just, spoke to me and Im like 'I need this in my binder!!' I have a index card that says "Ohia :D" from my friend Kacey before you moved and now I have "Ascolta me...Sei bellissima....Vi prometto" in my binder too. Now this amazing poem by my love! <3
