Jared frowned. "Well, I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. And I'm pretty sure Violet will get kinda suspicious sooner or later. I'm not going to love you just because it makes your child happy or because she saw some vision."

Jared carried Violet into her room and tucked her into her bed. "Go to sleep. You're tired." He kissed her forehead and went back into the living room.
