Peyton gripped onto him like it meant her life. She was trembling and her legs would barely support her. "B-Brock.." She stammered, her head was still a little foggy so she was acting a little out of character, just her with more guts. "I thought they may have..." Her voice trailed off and she threw her arms around his neck it was more of a lugging motion then one swift one. The one person in the world she could be close to dying, was not something she wanted to deal with. She was so glad that Brock was alright, with her, and safe.

Brock inconstantly felt butterflies erupt in his stomach and confusion do the same in his mind. "I, uh," his voice trailed off as he tried to think of how suddenly she seemed so different, so open, and not so mad. "Well I'm glad you're safe," he told her as he let a half-smile creep onto his face. Bringing up how mad she was earlier and asking how she was suddenly better probably wasn't the best idea, so he thought he might as well just drop it. He held Peyton to him closely as Peyton's and his sent wrapped around the two and held them there.

Peyton finally let her mind clear and her face heated immensely. Not wanting to, Peyton pulled away from him slowly. "I, uhm,...sorry.." She murmured looking down so that her red locks hid her face in the early morning light. "I-i don't know...what came over me.." she mumbled weakly. Peyton's heart was thudding hard in her chest, and she bet Brock could hear it in the silence. She had just been so worried that he had died saving her life, when it wasn't worth it. Someone cared enough to protect her, a monster, and she cared enough to protect and worry about them. All Peyton could do was think about him though, why was he the only one she could come in contact with, why had he come to her? The way she felt around him wasn't just hormones or stray feelings. There was something more there and she had to know what it was.

Brock smiled to her. "Don't worry about it," he said in a gentle tone. He could see how flustered she was and found it best to get off the subject as quick as possible. "Let's go back to Kat and see where we've landed. We'll try to find some new clothes and food, then we'll head out again," he said as he looked over to the direction of Kat. He knew there was something more going on here, with everything. There was a reason he found Peyton, a reason he was sent to that home, a reason they were chasing after Peyton, Kat and him so ferociously; the only thing was, he didn't know what that reason was.

[Peyton]

Peyton looked around them nervously. Nodding in agreement she kept quiet. She didn't want to leave him. Letting him walk in front of her she watch him carefully, biting down on her lip hard enough to draw blood. Peyton followed close behind not wanting to lose sight of Brock. It made her nervous now to be with out him, he had saved her life, twice now. She owed him the world. Stopping dead in her tracks Peyton murmured a sweet, "Thank you, " Looking down toward her feet. Her fingers were laced together as she held her hands neatly together in front of her.

Brock turned around and then sighed. "Peyton," he murmured as he walked back to meet her. His thumb once again went to her lip and removed it from her teeth. Slowly he wiped the blood of her chin and smiled ever so slightly. "No need to thank me, I wanted to help," he told her as he looked into her eyes. Brock then broke the gaze and looked back to Kat. "Common, before others catch up."

[Peyton]

Peyton looked back in the direction that the men would come from and then nodded. "I really do owe you, you and your sister," She said, pushing the matter. When they went back Peyton saw Kat, sleeping on the ground. A pang of pain went through Peyton, Kat had used a lot of energy to save someone she barely knew. These two siblings were angels in the flesh, no matter how they saw themselves.

Brock smiled when he saw his sister and knelt down slowly. "Thank you so much Kat, you're the best," he whispered in her ear before he picked her up gently. "Alright, you ready?" he asked before he started for the city. The place was a rotten looking city, smog and grime everywhere. The pollution was enough to make anyone gag and the people, as far as Brock could tell from walking down the street, were not very polite either. "Alright, let's find a store, we'll get some clothes, and then we'll find a place to eat and be on our way," he mentioned as he searched the streets for a good place to eat or shop.

Peyton smiled at the two siblings and then nodded. "Yes," She answered simply and followed behind Brock. When they made it into the town Peyton stepped closer to Brock, shaking slightly. These people made her nervous there were a lot of them and if she brushed against one of them they'd get hurt. "We need to stay out of groups..." Peyton said under her breath to Brock.

Brock nodded. He continued to walk down the street, making sure to keep step with Peyton so he would be near her the whole time. Soon Brock saw a very small shack that advertised Italian food. "How about that?" he asked as he looked toward the shop. He knew they would need to change first, however, so he looked around for a shop that was nearby the small shack. "There," he started, "I know it'll probably be a little crowded, but you can just pick out what you like, go to the changing room, and then I'll pick out the stuff for you." Brock and Kat already had bags of their stuff with them, which they would need to lighten up on in the store. "Sound good?"

[Peyton]

Peyton nodded and looked at the restaurant, then to the store. "Yeah, that sounds good, " She said and then she slipped her hand into Brock's, his one free one anyways. Her fingers laced with his and she was shaking nervously. This place seemed familiar to her, this town. Something about she knew, but she couldn't quite figure out what it was. She bit down on her lip out of habit and then let her hair hide her face, avoiding eye contact with the sour people around them.

Brock smiled when he felt Peyton's gloved hand in his, and he knew one of these times it wouldn't just be a glove he was holding on to. He they made their way past all the people and into the store, Brock looked around for the Women's section. When he finally spotted it in the back of the store, the larger part of the store, he made his way back there, pushing through people and making sure that Peyton had enough room to get through. He knew he must have look weird, carrying a teenager in one arm and then having a fire-red haired girl who was afraid of everyone on his other arm. He smiled at how others looked at him, the thoughts they had he couldn't even begin to guess. "Alright, here we are," he said when he had finally stopped.

Peyton looked around and then let go of Brock. She walked around looking at all of the clothes. When she saw an outfit she loved she snagged it and ran off to the dressing room with out a word. It took a long while for her to get dressed. The only way Peyton had been able to get dressed was because of a spray she had, something that made things fire retardant. When she stepped out she looked for Brock, spotting him she smiled sheepishly. "What do you think...?" She asked softly. People were staring at her, their eyes longing or jealous. She actually was a very pretty girl, striking to the eye.

Brock's jaw almost dropped, and as he continued to look at her, he smiled. "Gorgeous," he told her truthfully as he offered out his hand. He was happy Peyton was stepping out of her shell a little by getting a dress, of which she looked stunning in. Brock then saw the giant gloves and the spray when he thought. "Hold on just a second," he said as he took the can away from Peyton, then disappeared into a crowd of people. When he returned, Brock held a pair of red leather gloves that matched the dress Peyton was wearing. "Here," he offered to her, waiting for her to hold out her hands so he could put the gloves on for her.

Peyton flushed and looked herself over. "Yeah?" She asked and looked up at Brock, but when she did he ran off. She was confused and when he came back she understood. Grinning she held out her hands for the gloves. "These," She breathed, "Are wonderful," She said and smiled, a genuine happy smile. She held her hand out and examined the glove, running up to Brock she threw her arms around him. "Thank you!" She said. When she noticed people staring she let go fidgeting with the hem of the dress nervously.

Brock smiled. "I try," he told her in a gentle tone when she was hugging him. When people stared he only smiled at them, some he even waved to, even if they did look at him like he was nuts when he did so. Then he looked to Kat. "Kat, sis, wake up," he told her in a secure and loving tone, knowing she would be tired. "We need to change. Get yourself up and then you can change after me," he told her and set her on the ground gently. Brock then went into the dressing room and changed, coming back out in a smooth, yet more casual suit. Brock always was a classy guy, and he never really like dressing 'casual', so that was about as casual as it got.

Kat looked through her bag and when she finally found something she yelped and then watched for Brock to come back out. When he finally did she popped up and ran over to the dressing rooms in a flash, calling back, "You look smooth Brother, be right back you two!" After changing, Kat finally walked out of the changing room, adjusting the ties on her wrists ever so slightly. "All done," she said with a large smile.

Peyton smiled and waited for them to be done, when Brock came out she couldn't take her eyes off of him. But her eyes were torn away when she heard a commotion in the crowd. People were being shoved aside by people...in WHITE! Looking quickly to Brock and Kat she motioned to where they were coming from. 'We gotta go," She said and turned to go.

Brock shook his head and pulled Peyton and Kat both gently by the arm. "This way," he whispered. He then, slowly, escorted them toward the back and out the very back exit door into an abandoned ally way. "Alright, food will have to wait, we need to just go," he told them both, but they could just take off in the back of an ally. "Let's get back to the forest, and then we'll leave," he said in a gentle, quiet voice.

Kat nodded and then, worried about the other two getting hit by someone or something, took the lead. She leaded them toward the forest, always looking all around her to make sure no one was around. She had no idea who was who in the giant crowd of people, so she obviously just strayed from everyone and everything, hoping that they could get away in enough time.

Getting off, Night!

Peyton ducked her head low too hide her face though it really didn't matter because of her bright characteristic hair. As she tried to get by people she brushed peoples skin with her own and they yelped. This wasn't helping their situation, it was drawing attention to them. When Peyton wasn't looking someone grabbed her wrist, hard. It jerked her to a stop and she couldn't writhe herself free. "O-ow," Peyton said softly, and when she looked up it was a nurse, but he was dressed like a common person to blend in. Peyton would have yelled, but it would have put the people around them in danger. Brock and Kat were disappearing into the crowd, and a large gap was forming between them.

"Alright, Peyton, I will need to carry you again, are you okay with that?" Brock paused and waited. When no one answered him he stopped, Kat copying him. As Brock looked around he saw no Peyton. "Peyton?" he called, "Peyton!?" suddenly Brock panicked and ran back in the direction they came from, pushing people out of his way so he could get to where Peyton was. "Peyton!"

Kat yelped when Brock started to run and quickly started after him, but people were in her way. She sighed as she took a deep breath. She suddenly started jumping and flipping over people, pushing them here and there, yelling "Sorry" after "Sorry" along her way. Soon she could see Peyton's red hair when she had caught up with Brock. "Over there!"

[Peyton]

Peyton was being drug, her heart was racing. When they were out in the street she started to thrash, this got her into trouble. A sharp prick touched her upper arm and then she felt woosy. Her legs stopped working and she couldn't move her arms. They must have given her some kind of drug. The man heaved her onto his back like she might have been her little sister and walked into a large crowd, blending in rather well.

Brock nodded to Kat and then ran toward Peyton, pushing whoever he needed to to get to Peyton. "Hey, you!" he called after the man, "Give her back this instant!" he called as his heart pounded hard in his chest while he thought of what he was going to do. He couldn't kill the man, that could only cause a scene, and he couldn't reveal his powers because then there would only be 50 more nurses up on their butts before they could get away. Only think he could do now, act human and fight hand to hand.

Kat felt the thoughts roll through Brock's mind and her heart dropped when she felt his do the same. "Brother," she whispered. She would no longer just sit idly by and watch her brother take all the heat, she would help this time! At least she knew how to for once, fighting was something they were both very good at, being orphans for so long and having to fight their way to food.

[Peyton]

Peyton was hazy, she good hear and sort of see. There was Brock, and Kat. She wanted to scream and to fight, but she was at a loss. What if they hurt Brock or Kat!? What was she going to do? Peyton tried her hardest and threw herself to the ground. This may have bought some time for Brock, but she shouldn't ;have done it. People didn't walk around her, they walked ON her. Crushing her hands, legs, and head.
